Thursday 13th – 30th September – Two and a half weeks of art for absolutely anyone! Summing up our culturally diverse city of Melbourne, the Fringe Festival supports a whopping 3,000 artists. The hardest decision by far will be choosing what to go and explore, check out more about it here.
Saturday 22nd – October 2nd – A family favourite is always the Royal Melbourne Show. Can you believe this year will be it’s 162nd year of bringing the country to the city? Neither can we! Have a day jam packed with culinary delights and of course an abundance of cute farm animals! Read more about the show here.
Friday 28th September – Not to be missed is the AFL Grand Final! Whoever your team is, we bet you’ll be making the most of the upcoming public holiday and getting the big screen on. Or, if you’re lucky like our Victorian State Manager Mark, you’ll be attending another great day at the MCG. Mark’s been lucky enough to attend every grand final at the G since 1983!
Fancy trying out the first ever ice cave in Australia? Why not make the most of the newly renovated Hot Springs down in Mornington (just a cool $13million was spent!). A short drive from Melbourne to the Mornington Peninsula you’ll feel a million miles away from the city, not to mention a stop at the beach for fish and chips afterwards too! Whatever the season in Melbourne, this one is sure to set you up for a relaxing day.
Another reason to head out of the city is the annual Tesselaar Tulip Festival. With over a millions tulips coming into bloom over their 25 acres, what’s not to love? With music and street food, you can easily spend the day drinking in the beauty of the flowers and the fresh air!
October 3rd – 21st – Melbourne International Arts Festival. For the fourth year running, our wonderful city will welcome a world of story tellers, artists and an abundance of other creatives. One event we’re super excited for is the Fire Gardens – seeing the city light up like never before! You can get your tickets here.
Saturday 27th October – It’s all about Winx! With the retirement rumours having well and truly been quashed, can she do it? With Winx aiming to win an unprecedented 4th Cox Plate win – its set to be a nail-biting day!
Tuesday 6th November – Cup Day…what’s your tactic? If you’re anything like our designer Liana, you’ll be choosing your horses on their funny names or their cute colours. However, we’ve certainly got a few staff members that have been avidly researching in attempt to have a successful day on the track. If you’re not heading to Flemington, then we hope you have an awesome backyard celebration!
November – set to bring some of sunny Spain over to Williamstown; everyone will remember the iconic pavilion right on the beach… well it’ll be having a grand re-opening in November! Bringing with it a quintessentially Spanish seaside bar and grill, along with a spectacular deck to enjoy one of the best sunsets in the bay. Read more about the opening here.
November 2nd – 6th. Head over to Mansfield for a festival of country delights. Be it food, wine or crafts, the locals will be out in force making sure it’s a week not to be missed! Read more about it here.
