I wanted a good rain jacket for my upcoming trip to Chile and Peru and nearly bought a Stowaway, as my wife has one. I saw the Kuma Kit advertised but no one in Brisbane stocks this jacket, so I I could not look at one and there was only one very short review. At $300 I would not have bought it, but it was on special and I can return if not suitable. Also, I needed something reasonably light for packing, but could not find the weight in the specs. Well, the jacket has arrived and it is very impressive. It fits me perfectly and looks really classy (much more so than the Stowaway), looks very well made and the zip out separate inner fleece is lovely to wear separately and has soft hand warmer pockets. The rain jacket outer is also lined, and has hand warmer pockets and weighs just 680 grams. It doesn't' quite fit into its own pocket but rolls up small and can be retained by the sleeves with their stud buttons. Just a lovely combination vest/jacket and now that I have received this jacket, i can see why it retails for $300. It will be perfect for my travels.
